Entirely red oak construction, with touches of mahogany end-grain filling the individual tiles of the tabletop. Each tile is mitered at 45° to create the tabletop composition – even half a degree of error leads to gaps in the design. Below are pictures and sketches of the work in progress. I’m currently working on my projects at Makeville Studio in Gowanus, Brooklyn.
